YOUR STARTING POINT

One park. A few good places to pause.

The City of Lakewood places this 31-acre lakefront park at 14532 Lake Avenue, at Lake and Belle avenues. Its promenade, Solstice Steps and green spaces offer several ways to spend part of an afternoon. Check the city’s official park page for current information.

01

The Lakefront Promenade

Start with a walk along the water. Let the first part of the visit be about looking around rather than reaching a destination. Notice the lake, the skyline and the places where you would want to stop.

A simple plan: walk first, then decide where to settle in.

02

The Solstice Steps

Make the Steps a pause in the outing. The city highlights this lake-facing place for views and sunsets. An afternoon visit can stand on its own; if you stay later, check the sunset time and park closing time for that date.

A simple plan: leave some unplanned time for the view.

03

Room for another activity

The city lists picnic tables, a playground, courts and a walking loop among the park’s amenities. Choose one addition that fits the day. Confirm availability or reservation requirements before organizing a group activity.

A simple plan: one extra stop is enough for a relaxed outing.

STAY FOR YOUR OWN KIND OF AFTERNOON

Give the visit a little breathing room.

You do not need to turn a park visit into a schedule. Start with the promenade, spend a while on the Steps and decide whether to add a picnic or another loop through the park. If your time is short, choose one stop and enjoy it without trying to cover everything.

Bring what makes that plan comfortable: walking shoes, a layer suited to the forecast and something to drink. If the weather changes, change the outing with it. Photographs capture one particular day; the light and conditions will be your own when you visit.

BEFORE YOU GO

Check the details that can change.

As reviewed October 31, 2026, the city lists daily park hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and off-street parking, bicycle parking and restrooms among the amenities. Seasonal facilities and events have their own arrangements.

For a specific activity, start with the official information rather than a photograph or an old event listing. Check current park notices, facility availability and the forecast close to your visit.

PUT A HOME SEARCH IN CONTEXT

Explore the place around the property.

A park visit can help you understand one part of Lakewood beyond a listing’s photographs. When considering a home, try the routes and public places you would actually use, and compare that experience with the home’s layout and ownership details.

Our Marine Towers East property perspective looks at another part of that conversation: how private rooms and shared building spaces relate to an everyday routine.
